About this Event

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is hosting a two day event to support candidates on their journey to becoming police officers. OPP Bound will focus on Women and provide participants with a deeper understanding of the organization as well as a sense of what a career in policing looks like.

Participants will have the unique opportunity to hear from a diverse panel of OPP members from various ranks and roles and to explore the countless careers and specialities available throughout the province.

This event is intentionally designed to support women who are exploring a career in policing. It provides a welcoming space to ask questions and address common barriers specific to women considering this profession.

To preserve the purpose and environment of the event, registration is reserved for women (including those who are cis, trans, AFAB and non-binary). If you do not identify as part of this audience, we sincerely appreciate your interest and encourage you to explore our other recruitment events and information sessions that are open to all applicants.

La Police provinciale de l’Ontario organise un événement interactif étalé d’une journée pour soutenir les candidates et candidats dans leur démarche à se joindre à la police. Destination OPP Femmes et donnera une vue d’ensemble de l’organisation aux candidates et candidats tout en leur permettant d’avoir une idée de ce qu’est une carrière dans le service policier.

Les participantes et participants auront une occasion unique d’écouter un panel diversifié de membres de la Police provinciale appartenant à plusieurs rangs et rôles et à explorer les nombreuses possibilités de carrière ainsi que les spécialités disponibles partout dans la province.

Cet événement a été conçu expressément pour soutenir les femmes qui envisagent une carrière dans les services policiers. Il offre un espace accueillant où elles pourront poser leurs questions et discuter des défis auxquels les femmes sont souvent confrontées lorsqu’elles envisagent cette profession.

Afin de préserver l’objectif et le cadre de l’événement, l’inscription est réservée aux femmes (y compris les personnes cisgenres, transgenres, assignées femmes à la naissance et non binaires). Si vous ne vous identifiez pas comme faisant partie de ce public, nous vous remercions sincèrement de votre intérêt et vous encourageons à consulter nos autres séances d’information et événements de recrutement ouverts à toutes et à tous.

YOU MUST PRE-REGISTER TO ATTEND: One ticket per person.

If the website says "Sold Out" the event is FULL. Click Reserve a Spot to receive a registration form. Upon completion of the consent form, you will be sent an accept or decline letter.

PLEASE NOTE: REGISTRATION DOES NOT GUARANTEE YOU A SPOT, YOU WILL BE SENT A CONFIRMATION VERIFYING YOUR ATTENDANCE FOR THE EVENT, SHOULD YOU BE CHOSEN.

REGISTRATION ELGIBILITY: Each registrant must be aged 18 or older to register for this event and meet our minimum requirements. Each registrant must have valid photo ID to attend.

FEES: There is no fee to attend this event. However, participants are responsible for arranging and paying for their own travel and accommodations if needed. Food & beverage, along with interactive information sessions to help prepare you for your application are all included in the event.

CANCELLATION POLICY: If you are unable to attend this registered event, please be sure that you cancel your reservation to allow someone else to take your place. If you are unable to attend and you do not notify the recruitment team, a no show will be documented on your file

PHOTO IDENTIFICATION REQUIRED: It will be checked at the door. Name on the ID must match name on the ticket.

PARKING AVAILABLE: SOUTH PARKING LOT (Entrance at the traffic lights). Please park in the open lot in front of the gate for employee parking. It will be located on the left hand side.

DRESS CODE: Professional business attire only. No jeans, hoodies, baseball caps or ripped clothing.
