Join us on Wednesday, May 8th, as Jaeger Oslo transforms into a nocturnal celebration of night to Ascension Day! HIMMELSPRETTEN will commemorate the good old funk, disco and house featuring one of the biggest icons of Salsoulian disco-house, the seasoned maestro, OPOLOPO!
Hailing from Sweden, OPOLOPO is renowned for his electrifying DJ sets that traverse the globe from London to Tokyo. With a repertoire spanning funk, boogie, soul, and various shades of house, OPOLOPO's performances range from sweaty, stripped-down grooves to uplifting, lush melodies, all bound together by his unwavering devotion to the groove.
OPOLOPO has garnered widespread acclaim for his extensive portfolio of remixes and re-imaginings of cherished disco classics from the 1970s and 1980s, featuring artists such as Change, Gwen McCrae, Barbara Tucker, Ferry Ultra, and numerous others - and this Wednesday, the Swedish legend is bringing the groove of the 70s to Jaeger along with Schmooze & Brus.
SCHMOOZE & BRUS emerged from a humble student disco block-party in Bislett's backyard in 2021. What began as an intimate gathering swiftly blossomed into a vibrant cultural movement, infusing Oslo's nightlife with a colorful celebration of funk, groove, and disco!
