You are invited to a special event honoring our veterans and bringing the community together in a meaningful way. Hosted by Commissioner Michelle Melin-Rogovin and Dive Bar Letter Writers, in partnership with the Historical Society of Forest Park, "Operation Rising Spirits" will take place at Robert's Westside.
At the event, there will be a letter-writing station where attendees can create handwritten holiday cards filled with messages of gratitude and encouragement for veterans living at the Illinois Veterans Home. This simple act offers a way to brighten their day and remind them that their service is valued and appreciated.
The Historical Society of Forest Park will also showcase items from their Ameritorp collection.
Join us for an evening of history, community, and thoughtful support for those who have served our nation. Card-making is free—come be part of the holiday spirit!
