Join us Sunday, November 8th at 10am for a time of worship, communion, and an Operation Christmas Child Packing Party!
Operation Christmas Child sends gift-filled shoeboxes to children facing poverty around the world in the name of Jesus.
How to participate:
We’re asking everyone to commit to packing as many boxes as they’d like, covering the shipping costs ($10 per box), and shopping for enough items to fill each box. Bring your items to church, and we’ll pack the boxes together! We’ll also write letters, complete coloring sheets, and take Polaroid photos to include in the boxes before sending them off.
Unable to purchase items or cover shipping? Please still come! We’ll have plenty of items available for you to add to boxes or even pack a box from scratch. Everyone is welcome to participate!
You can pick up an item list and a sample box in the lobby any Sunday before the event to help you prepare.
What to expect on Sunday:
1) Drop off your items. Place your items in a numbered location in the lobby. You can return to that spot when you’re ready to pack.
2) Join us for worship and communion. Seating in the sanctuary will be limited, so please reserve chairs for families and the elderly.
3) Pack your shoeboxes! For every box you pack, be sure to complete each of the following before dropping off your finished box and shipping funds (unless you’ve already paid for shipping using the QR code on the label):
a. Write a letter in a card
b. Complete a coloring sheet
c. Take a Polaroid photo
d. Fill your box
We look forward to packing these boxes together and sharing the love of Jesus with children around the world!
