Opera for the Young

Dive into the magical world of opera with the whole family! Join Opera for the Young for highlights from their 2026/27 touring production of "Rusalka: A Mermaid’s Tale," a captivating story inspired by a mermaid’s adventure beneath the waves. After the performance, audience members can join the cast for an interactive voice and movement experience that brings the music and storytelling to life. It’s a fun, hands-on introduction to opera for all ages!
The 1pm performance will be American Sign Language interpreted. Please email [email protected] at least one hour ahead to be seated within sight of the interpreter for live performances.

While tailored for children ages nine and younger, these performances will mesmerize both kids and adults alike. Performers subject to change.
Kids in the Rotunda is a free, family-friendly event. No tickets required. Please come early to get the best seats. When maximum capacity is reached, no more guests may enter the area.
