ISABELLE ANDRIESSEN — Vermin
07.02.2025 — 04.05.2025 / ∞
For her solo exhibition Vermin, artist Isabelle Andriessen researches contemporary wars and dehumanization by drawing a parallel with the violent rites that preceded the Iconoclasm in the sixteenth-century Low Countries, a period marked by poverty, religious conflict and uprisings against ‘heretics’ in the Netherlands. Her sculptures, which are partly included in the Endless Exhibition of Kunsthal Gent, confront the viewer with opposition to violence and subjugation.

FIONA HALLINAN — We Turn Towards an Ending and Pay Attention
07.02.2025 — 04.05.2025
The Church of the Annunciation in Finglas, a suburb of Dublin, was once the second largest Catholic church in Ireland. In 2021, it was demolished. What is lost when communities lose a meeting place for shared experiences and rituals? In the exhibition We Turn Towards an Ending and Pay Attention, Irish artist Fiona Hallinan explores the demolition as a break in Ireland's history through a film and a large sculptural installation: Fragment Meditation, a physical record of a building that no longer exists. For the duration of the exhibition, the table will also be used for meetings and Kunsthal Gent's Friday Evening programme.

DANI BERSHAN — Gut Matters
07.02.2025 — 04.05.2025
The exhibition Gut Matters brings together key elements from a five-year research cycle by artist Dani Bershan. It includes an installation and sound piece, as well as an immersive performative sculpture. The sculpture is brought to life by three performers (Sara Leghissa, Roni Katz, and Nattan Dobkin) and will be activated six times during the exhibition. Alongside these, there’s also a publication, a reading group, a symposium, and public conversations. A coproduction with VIERNULVIER.
