✨ About the Exhibition
𝙎𝙪𝙗𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙚𝙖. 𝘼𝙣 𝙪𝙧𝙗𝙖𝙣 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙥𝙝𝙮 presents an urban cartography through the lens of Liviu Bulea, exploring the layered and often invisible dynamics of city life. The urban environment, a space we inhabit consciously or unconsciously, becomes a site of tension between constructed materials and the fragility of human existence.
Bulea excavates the intangible material of his own subconscious, mapping how the psyche reacts to urban stimuli, from claustrophobia to agoraphobia. His work captures a delicate balance between construction and deconstruction, order and disarray, reflecting the passage of time and the continuous negotiation between interior and exterior landscapes.
Through Polaroids, standard prints, cianotypes, and textural interventions, Bulea transforms architectural monuments and urban structures into a living dialogue between perception, memory, and the present moment. The exhibition traces traces of past and present spaces, revealing the estrangement of urban evolution while maintaining a poetic resonance with human experience.
In Subterranea, the city becomes both canvas and subject, inviting viewers to navigate the fragile intersections of memory, space, and temporality.
