Opening Opportunities is Sliding Doors Foundation’s flagship annual fundraising event, bringing together businesses, educational partners, friends, and supporters to back potential and create real access to education.

Expect a stand-up grazing lunch, strong networking, and a compelling program with one clear purpose: opening doors into education, confidence, and real opportunity.

Guest speaker: Alex Carey — Australian international cricketer and former Australian captain, known for resilience and performing under pressure.

Host: Ali Clarke — One of Adelaide’s most trusted media voices, leading the afternoon with her engaging and authentic storytelling.

Scholar story + Q&A — Hear directly from a scholarship recipient about their journey: where they started, what changed, and where they are now, with Ali Clarke leading the conversation.

Could you and your direct network do more? $9,000 can support a young person through six years of high school.

This year we’re inviting a small group of supporters to become Team Captains and join Alex Careys Team: simple rally your network and help raise funds that change outcomes.
