SEASON 03: INLINE

MADART Foundation exists because we believe that good work deserves space — regardless of the path through which it came into being.

We curate makers the system has not found. Not because their work falls short. Because the system is too narrow to contain them.

This is our third season. We open it on the first night of ADE.

The season

Season 01 was called PARADOX. It made the contradiction visible. Season 02 was called GROUND. It found the common ground: each maker's own identity as a fixed point of departure.

Season 03 is called INLINE. The line between online and offline no longer holds. What we see, make and experience unfolds in a reality that is both at once — layered, shifting, and no longer separable.

Six presentations each approach that reality from their own material, medium and visual language, and ask the same question: what does it mean to make something in a world that always exists somewhere else too?

The makers

The exhibition takes place on the fourth floor of the former Metz building on Leidsestraat, renovated by MVRDV, with a rooftop pavilion designed by Gerrit Rietveld.

MADART Foundation

MADART Foundation is an independent cultural platform based in Amsterdam. We curate makers who fall outside the institutional criteria of the established art world — self-taught, not categorisable, or simply outside the frameworks that decide who gets a platform and who does not.

We cover the production costs of every exhibition. There is no fee to participate. 100% of sale proceeds go directly to the maker.

Your contribution

Entry to the opening night is by contribution to MADART Foundation. Every guest makes a contribution when registering. Your contribution includes:

• Access to the opening night of INLINE, with the makers present
• Wine by Bon Vivant and VIN VIN Wines
• A DJ set (to be announced)

Your contribution directly supports the realisation of this season and makes it possible for the makers to present their work at this level.
