For three days, you will be able to explore a programme spread across four screening rooms and an exhibition, punctuated by a range of events – carte blanche sessions, special screenings focus, performances, panel discussions and talks, in the presence of artists and guests from all over the world, who will share their experiences and reflections on contemporary moving images.
ᐅ A PROGRAMME AS A MULTIVERSE 🌐 •၊၊||၊|။|||| |
For the 2026 edition of the Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin, the programme has been conceived as a framework of simultaneous themes and correspondences. A thematic cartography will enable the audience to follow lines of correspondence between works presented across distinct spaces or screenings. In this way, an immersive experience takes shape in which each film, each work, can only be fully understood in relation to others, whether within a given screening or transversally.
Featuring numerous German premieres, it will create a dialogue between approaches where the political, the intimate and the sensory intersect and respond to one another. Through film, installation, sound and digital imagery, the invited artists question how images translate, shift or blur our relationship with reality and memory.
ᐅ SOME HIGHLIGHTS ❤️ •၊၊||၊|။|||| |
Two exceptional carte blanche projects entrusted to major figures in contemporary art and cinema: Antoni Muntadas – whose critical exploration of media and communication addresses our contemporary society –, and Albert Serra – whose radical cinema explores the limits of fiction and questions time and vertigo. As well as a special screening of Maryam Tafakory's work, with the German premiere of her film "Razeh-Del", and new or recent works by artists such as Salomé Lamas, Leopold Emmen, Melanie Manchot, Randa Maroufi, Uriel Orlow, Pink Twins and Léonard Pongo, among others.

An drei Tagen erwartet Sie ein Programm, das sich über vier Kinosäle und eine Ausstellung erstreckt und von zahlreichen Formaten begleitet wird – Carte-blanche-Sessions, Sondervorführungen, thematischen Schwerpunkten, Performances, Podiumsdiskussionen und Gesprächen, in Anwesenheit von Künstlerinnen, Künstlern und Gästen aus aller Welt, die ihre Erfahrungen und Reflexionen über das zeitgenössische Bewegtbild teilen werden.

Für die Ausgabe 2026 der Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin ist das Programm als Gefüge gleichzeitiger Themen und Korrespondenzen konzipiert. Eine thematische Kartografie ermöglicht es dem Publikum, Linien der Korrespondenz zwischen Werken zu verfolgen, die in unterschiedlichen Räumen oder Vorführungen gezeigt werden. So entsteht eine immersive Erfahrung, in der sich jeder Film, jedes Werk erst im Verhältnis zu den anderen vollständig erschließt – sei es innerhalb einer Vorführung oder quer dazu.
Mit zahlreichen Deutschlandpremieren entfaltet das Programm einen Dialog zwischen Ansätzen, in denen sich das Politische, das Intime und das Sinnliche überschneiden und einander antworten. In Film, Installation, Klang und digitalem Bild befragen die eingeladenen Künstlerinnen und Künstler, wie Bilder unser Verhältnis zur Wirklichkeit und zur Erinnerung übersetzen, verschieben oder verwischen.

Zwei außergewöhnliche Carte-blanche-Projekte, anvertraut an bedeutende Persönlichkeiten der zeitgenössischen Kunst und des Kinos: Antoni Muntadas – dessen kritische Auseinandersetzung mit Medien und Kommunikation unsere Gegenwart befragt – und Albert Serra, dessen radikales Kino die Grenzen der Fiktion auslotet und Zeit und Schwindel hinterfragt. Hinzu kommt eine Sondervorführung mit Arbeiten von Maryam Tafakory, darunter die Deutschlandpremiere ihres Films Razeh-Del, sowie neue oder jüngst entstandene Werke von Künstlerinnen und Künstlern wie Salomé Lamas, Leopold Emmen, Melanie Manchot, Randa Maroufi, Uriel Orlow, Pink Twins und Léonard Pongo, unter anderen.
