Crustacean Nation is invited to come out early and celebrate Opening Day with our annual Opening Day Street Carnival from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, March 27 at VyStar Ballpark. The carnival will take place outside the Main Gate, on Georgia Street.
Georgia Street will be completely closed off on the block between the ballpark and the football stadium for several attractions, including a climbing wall, street games and interactive vendor booths. A DJ will provide music on-site for the festivities.
With the free street carnival running from 4-7 p.m. outside the ballpark, the main gate opening at 5:30 p.m. for ticketed fans to get inside the ballpark. The Jumbo Shrimp 2026 season will get underway at 7:05 p.m. when Jacksonville hosts the Rochester Red Wings, Triple-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals. Following the game, fans can enjoy the first fireworks show of the season.
