Join us for the opening day of "John Jennings: Build Your World," a new exhibition that explores the extraordinary storytelling and world-building of John Jennings — Mississippi native, NYTimes bestselling graphic novelist, Harvard Fellow, and Hugo- and Eisner Award-winning artist.
Guests are invited to experience the exhibition as a living space that sparks reflection, joy, and imagination through visual art, music, movement, conversation, and hands-on activities.
Schedule of events:
10 am: African drum circle in courtyard
11 am-2 pm: Build Your World art station with Justin Ransburg
12 pm: KRUMP performance
1 pm: John Jennings artist talk + guided tour
2:15 pm: mixer
All events are free with museum admission ($14 adults, $8 youth, and free to children under 5 years of age, educators, or MAX members).
