Join us as we open another season at
Land of Dreams.
A Place where People and Land Grow together
Our Annual Opening Ceremony and Community Potluck Dinner marks the beginning of the growing season and our continued journey of bringing together Indigenous communities, newcomers, farmers, families, and neighbours.
Whether you are a long-time supporter or visiting for the first time, everyone is welcome.
Event Program Outline
2 PM:
Opening Welcome
- Welcome from Rod Olson – Founder, Land of Dreams
- Openning Ceremony led by Elder Herman
- Two Community Cultural Opening Traditions Storytelling & Sharing
4 PM:
Community Potluck Dinner
- Share food, culture, and conversation together
- Please bring a dish from your culture or favourite family recipe if you are able
What to Bring
- A potluck dish to share (optional but encouraged)
- Your family and friends
- A curious heart and love for community
