Opening Celebration of Revolution: A Call to Arms

Come celebrate our nation's founding on Sunday, Sept. 13, at the historic Belton Depot.
Our local exhibit entitled Revolution: A Call to Arms will be on display from Sept. 13 til Dec. 21, and will feature the South Carolina State Museum's traveling exhibit The American Revolutionary War in SC.
Local artifacts with community connections to the past include weapons and armament, clothing, china belonging to one of our founding fathers, and family mementos. There's even a pub set up as a centerpiece of discussion and action, so important to Revolutionary planning. Also, there is a case dedicated to Bi-centennial memorabilia.
Lots of free America 250 items will be handed out, kids can make a tri-corn hat, and everyone can enjoy refreshments popular in the 1700's.
