OpenHaus Session 02: AI, Ambition & the New Rules of Work
AI is already reshaping the way we work, communicate, create, and make decisions, and for many of us, it’s happening faster than we can fully process. Beyond the headlines, this shift is raising bigger questions about ambition, creativity, value, and what actually makes someone good at their job. This OpenHaus session is designed to create space for a more honest conversation around all of it: the excitement, the uncertainty, the opportunities, and the pressure to constantly adapt.
Leading the conversation is Liz Nord, a Senior Solutions Engineer on Shopify’s Global Enterprise team, where she works with brands like Disney, Nike, Estée Lauder, and Lululemon to navigate complex technology and growth decisions. She earned her MBA from NYU Stern with a focus on technology and AI, and has built her career translating complicated technology into practical, real-world insight. Together, we’ll explore how AI is changing the rules of work, what skills may become even more valuable because of it, and how ambitious women can use these tools thoughtfully without losing their judgment, creativity, voice, or edge.
This isn’t a technical workshop or a room full of jargon. It’s a space for smart conversation, curiosity, and connection with other women navigating what’s next. We’ll discuss practical ways to use AI in your everyday work, the tools worth knowing, and how to work smarter—not harder—while staying adaptable, valuable, and distinctly human in a rapidly changing world.
