OpenApply Admissions Workshop - Kenya

We’re excited to welcome you to our first OpenApply event in Africa, hosted at the International School of Kenya on 15 &16 November 2025.

Join us for 1.5 days of practical, hands-on sessions designed especially for school professionals working in admissions, marketing, advancement, and leadership. This event focuses on delivering strategies to boost enrolment through data-driven admissions, strengthen your school’s brand to attract more enquiries, and build a thriving alumni network that supports sustainable growth.

Since 2013, OpenApply has been bridging the professional development gap in admissions. We look forward to kicking off our first ever event in Kenya, building on our experience, and hosting over 800 participants from 250 international schools worldwide.

At this event, we’ll explore the event theme – The Admissions Experience through three key lenses:

The sessions are designed to give you the tools you need to navigate the changing education landscape and create strategies and actionable steps to take back to your school with:

• Peer-led sessions sharing experiences and solutions
• Networking opportunities to exchange ideas and build lasting relationships

The conference will take place on 15th & 16th November, 2025 with the theme – The Admissions Experience

During the conference, we will explore and elevate all aspects of the admissions journey in schools. Topics may include (but are not limited to):

• Building a Welcoming and Inclusive Admissions Process
• Aligning Admissions with School Identity and Mission
• Crafting your School’s Story
• Harnessing Data to Inform Enrollment Strategies
• Rethinking Touchpoints: Innovation in the Admissions Funnel

What are we looking for?

• Sessions should be 50 minutes, including time for Q&A.
• We encourage interactive formats—think beyond presentations! Panel discussions, workshops, or roundtables are welcome
• Sessions should aim to provide concrete takeaways that participants can apply at their schools.

Speakers will receive:

• Complimentary conference registration and access to all networking events (up to 2 speakers per session)
• A certificate of appreciation

The deadline for proposal submissions is October 4, but early submissions are encouraged to help us plan effectively. Let’s shape the future of school admissions together!

The conference schedule consists of professional-development sessions delivered by admissions, marketing and advancement leaders within the community, and OpenApply workshops delivered by our team.

We will start both days at around 8:30am. The second day will end around 1:30pm with a closing reception. More information will be available soon!

🏫 About the Host School

The International School of Kenya (ISK) is a private, non-profit PreK-Grade 12 school created in 1976 through a joint partnership between the governments of the United States and Canada. Nestled on 40 acres of a former coffee plantation, ISK serves the educational needs of both expatriate and Kenyan students who seek a challenging international curriculum which leads to the rigorous International Baccalaureate Diploma program.

ISK has been an OpenApply School since 2018.
