Open Wood Carving/ Open Studio Meetup

Join us every third Sunday of the month (except Mothers Day and Fathers Day) for a relaxed Open Carve / Open Studio Day at Colonial Crafts of Connecticut. This is a welcoming, no‑pressure space to carve, chat, and spend time with others who love traditional handcraft.
Bring your own tools and whatever project you’re working on — spoons, bowls, willow weaving, knife handles, anything you’d like. Or simply stop in to watch, ask questions, and enjoy the atmosphere. All skill levels are welcome, from brand‑new beginners to seasoned carvers.
What to Expect:
-A friendly, open‑studio environment
-Space to carve, weave, or work on personal projects
-A chance to connect with other makers
-Come and go as you like!
When: Every third Sunday of the month (2/15; 3/15; 4/12; 5/17; 6/14; 7/19; 8/16; 9/13; 10/18, and 12/20 - no meetups in Sept and Nov)
Cost: Free
Bring: Your tools, wood, and any project you’d like to work on. We do have some loaner carving tools available for use at Open Carve for $$ donation.
It’s a simple, joyful way to stay connected to the craft and to each other. We’d love to have you there.
