I am adding two more buoys for the turn around if you decide to swim longer (this is to avoid a head collision in case you forget to sight, which you shouldn’t forget 🤞🏽) Please read this and take a look of the updated map and don’t use google map to find the address because it might send you somebody’s house, but remember this is happening at the beach 🏖️
Swim Sunday April 13 and April 20, at Elva rouse park located at 216 Tenth Ave NE
Saint Petersburg, FL 33701
Swim briefing and group picture 7:45 AM and hopefully words from my friend and race director Patrick McGee he is super busy and will try to stop by.
Swim will start 8:00 AM
Dear Swimmers and Athletes, @everyone
I hope this message finds you well and excited for our upcoming swim practice. I am looking forward to leading the practice session and providing tips and drills, especially for our beginner swimmers.
Attached to this message is a map outlining the planned route for our swim. The course will involve three buoys that you will keep on your right, with the last buoy. Upon reaching the final buoy, you will have the option to swim towards the shoreline to get a better sense of sprint distance. Or turn around having two additional buoys, Unfortunately, due to boat traffic, we will not be able to swim towards the pier. However, you can swim two loops around the designated area, totaling approximately 2,000 yards. Prior to starting the swim, we will conduct a briefing to address any questions or concerns you may have.
My goal is to create a safe and enjoyable swim practice for all participants. To enhance safety measures, we will have various friends stationed on paddle boards and kayaks to provide assistance and a sense of security. I might have a couple of lifeguards as well.
Should you have any inquiries, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. As always, remember to control your heart rate, maintain proper sight throughout the swim, and have confidence in your abilities.
I have included my Venmo account information for contributions, beginning at $10.

I am anticipating a turnout of 100 participants each Sunday, it is crucial to review the map provided and ensure a clear understanding of the course layout. And remember, the key to success is to sight, sight, sight!
Thank you to everyone for your participation and dedication to the sport. I am looking forward to another successful and rewarding swim practice session, thanks @playtri St. Petersburg
