Open Water Student Training Weekend
Ready to complete the open water dive portion of your scuba certification?

This signup is for the Open Water training weekend only and is intended for students completing the in-water portion of their certification. Students must be available for both Saturday and Sunday. If you have a scheduling conflict, please contact the shop before registering.
The payment for this signup is for the Blue Stone Dive Resort entry fee only and is required to reserve your training weekend spot.

Students should meet the instructor at 9:00 AM on Saturday in the lobby.
You may temporarily pull up to the front door, get a cart from inside to load your gear, and then park in the main parking area. Instructors will meet students in the lobby.
Before Training Weekend
Please stop by Sink or Swim Scuba on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday prior to training to:
Pick up any rental gear you need
Complete your training folder and waivers if not already done
Complete the Blue Stone Dive Resort waiver
Pay your Blue Stone entry fee ($28.00 per day)
Purchase any required personal gear such as mask, fins, snorkel, and booties if needed
All SDI eLearning, final exam, and online waiver must be completed by Friday prior to your training weekend.
If your medical questionnaire required physician approval, we must have that paperwork before you enter the water.
What to Bring
Please come prepared with:
Mask (scrubbed and ready to use)
Fins, snorkel, and boots
Logbook and the SDI app downloaded on your phone
Your own or rental BCD, regulators, wetsuit, and tanks
Snacks, packed lunch, and plenty of water
Towel and dry clothes to change into afterward
Sunscreen and/or hat
Swimsuit
What to Expect
When you arrive, the day begins with your swim test and confined water skills. Once those are completed successfully, you will begin your first Open Water dives with your instructor.
Saturday may end around 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, depending on progress.
Sunday begins again at 9:00 AM and may end as early as 12:00 PM or continue until around 4:00 PM.
