About this Event

Angels Gate Cultural Center (AGCC) presents our Spring 2026 Open Studios Day, April 25 and 26th! Over 50 local artists will open their doors to the public for a peek into their art practice.

Open Studios Day is a free, all-ages event that provides the public a glimpse into the process, art, and lives of local artists who create at the Center. AGCC hosts one of the largest studio artist programs in the region with a diverse range of artistic disciplines including ceramics, photography, printmaking, writing, sculpture, videography, music, and painting. This self-guided tour of artist studios provides a unique opportunity to interact with the artists and purchase contemporary works of art.

Live Community Class demonstrations will take place throughout the day as well as an All-Ages Art activity in Building G.
In the galleries (Building A), final days to experience the the moon, the womb, and they remember ! In a landscape shaped by forced movement and perpetual circulation, the exhibition returns to cyclical time—lunar gravity, bodily recurrence, ecological duration—where remembering is not retrieval, but an ongoing responsibility to what continues to live and circulate within.

the moon, the womb, and they remember

Info: Curation by Ann Shi. Works by Flora Kao, Sheng Lor, Victoria May, Sandeep Mukherjee, Kyong Boon Oh, Snežana Saraswati Petrović, and Stella Zhang. The exhibition onsiders memory as a distributed condition rather than a fixed record, something that circulates through matter, bodies, labor, and sites across time. The exhibition approaches the womb not as a biological or gendered form but as a spatial logic: a container that holds matter in transition, allowing transformation without resolution. The moon is a regulator of cyclical time, governing tides, illumination, recurrence, and withdrawal. It marks rhythms of appearance and disappearance, the return of time and space, the persistence of life forms, and the conservation of energy. *Accessibility: Please note that the moon, the womb, and they remember is in areas of the gallery that are currently only accessible via stairs. A virtual walkthrough of the full exhibition will be available.
