Open Studio Market

ELLICOTT CITY, MD — The Howard County Arts Council Art Residency Program will welcome the public to its Open Studio Market on Sunday, August 2, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the

Capitoline Center, 8360 Court Avenue, Ellicott City, Maryland.

This free community event offers visitors a rare opportunity to explore working artist studios, meet resident artists, shop for original artwork and handmade goods, and experience the creative process firsthand. Featured disciplines include fashion design, painting, printmaking, textiles, and fine art.

Guests will enjoy artist demonstrations, new fashion previews, music, light refreshments, and the opportunity to purchase unique works directly from local artists and designers.

The Open Studio Market celebrates creativity, community engagement, and the vibrant artistic

culture that continues to thrive in Howard County. Visitors are encouraged to bring friends and

family and spend the afternoon discovering local talent in an inspiring studio environment.
