Fee
Free for students currently taking a 6 week class (clay is $15 per 1/2 bag).
Students currently taking a 6 week class may use the Pottery Studio during designated Open Studio time, have access to tools, use equipment (no pottery wheels), use studio glazes, and keep clay projects in the studio. Because of our small studio, clay and personal tools will need to be taken home with you.
Work Independently
Open studio is a time for you to work independently and hone your skills while enjoying the company of other potters. If you are not confident about working independently with clay, please refrain from signing up for Open Studio until you know you can work without instruction. Participants and teachers are attending Open Studio to make pottery, not to instruct, so be mindful of this and limit questions so everyone can work on their projects.
Enrollment
Please register ahead of time by adding your name to the sign up sheet. If you plan to come later than 2:00, write down the time you are coming so we don’t accidentally close early. Also, give a 24 hour notice if you can’t come during your scheduled time due to limited seating. If no one is scheduled, the coordinator reserves the right to close the studio for the day. Those using the Open Studio program may use the studio when the Pottery Studio Coordinator is present (2 - 5 PM on Saturdays). Even if the door is unlocked, please refrain from using the room until the pottery studio coordinator is present.
