OPEN MIC POETRY+FEATURED POET

Hi everyone!
Due to such a good reception for our open mic poetry nights, we would like to introduce a new poetry event at gallery art bar.
Essentially this is a shorter open mic period and a longer form period for a featured poet!
We will still be doing our monthly open mic poetry night. This is an extra poetry-oriented night this month!
The format will be:
12 open mic poetry spots / 5 min per
Followed by a featured poet reading their work for 25-35 minutes
--DM us for an open mic spot or show up EARLY to sign up
The sign-up list is usually full after 7pm
Featured Poet: Olivia Welshans
Olivia has been a devoted reader at gallery poetry nights,
A crowd favorite her pieces dissect moments of life revealing plain sometimes cold truths of being. Writing her way through human connection and nostalgia Olivias' poetry maintains a sense of wonder and hope. Her articulation blends with her story as she transports the listener.
We look forward to featuring Olivia and continuing to foster the poets in our community.
