The Open Mic at the Castle Tap is on the fourth Monday of most months between 7:30pm-10:30pm.We're a multi-medium open mic night in a friendly and inclusive pub.
Slots are typically 10-15 minutes. We run a first-come sign-up sheet on the night, and expect that we'll be able to fit everyone in who arrives in the first hour or so.
We run a PA kit with mics, DI boxes, and a 3.5mm aux cable. We also usually set up an electric piano, but don't have a house guitar. We ask performers to be considerate of the size of the stage and event, and to minimise the about of gear and setup needed. We don't have room for drums kits or amps, but you are welcome to plug in pedals and other devices.
