Learn dance techniques and choreography with anatomical awareness to gain mobility, coordination, strength, and stamina. Open Level, Ages 16+
Accessible for all levels, variations will be offered.
This contemporary class incorporates modern dance techniques like Horton technique, Limón technique, and release technique, as well as floor work. The class is taught with anatomical awareness with movement that emphasizes creative expression and athleticism.
Students should wear comfortable clothing, be prepared to dance barefoot, and bring a water bottle.

Taught by Lex Lancaster (she/her)
As a lifelong mover, Lex dances to express creativity, enhance emotional regulation, explore physicality, and experience the ephemeral joy of dancing. After graduating from the University of Washington with a BA in Dance Studies, Lex moved to San Diego, California, where she performed professionally and taught dance for about 10 years to children and adults. She is trained in ballet, modern, and jazz dance techniques, and specializes in contemporary dance. Lex traveled for the last several years and is now happy to call Eureka Springs home!
