Visit the Tactile Arts Jewellery Studio and meet Courtney Hogan the current Artist in Residence.
Courtney Hogan is a jeweller and artist from Narrm/Melbourne. Here she completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Gold and Silversmithing at RMIT and was awarded the Emily Hope award for Figurative work. While she studied, she was fortunate to go on exchange to Idar-Oberstein in Germany. This is a small-town south-west where stone carving is the main point of focus.
While Courtney makes more jewellery with stone setting techniques within her practice, she also creates the occasional larger magical objects. These have elements of surrealism and narrative focused illustrations with strong linework.
Open Studio Dates:
Wednesday 17th June, 10am - 12pm
Friday 19th June, 12pm - 2pm
