Open Government Engagement Session (Charlottetown)

How can the Government of Canada be more open and transparent?

The Government of Canada is developing it’s next National Action Plan on Open Government and it wants to hear your views!

Participate in this engagement session to share your thoughts and ideas related to four thematic areas of open government:

✅ Inclusive and meaningful public participation

✅ Protecting civic space and democracy in the digital era

✅ Anti-corruption, public confidence and corporate transparency

✅ Designing inclusive government programs and services

Engagement session structure:

• Part 1 of the thematic workshop will provide some background information to participants concerning the history of open government in Canada, the role of the Open Government Partnership, the National Action Plan on Open Government development process
• Part 2 will consist of a facilitated discussion concerning the four thematic areas and potential ideas for open government reforms

• La première partie de la séance fournira des informations générales sur : l’histoire du gouvernement ouvert au Canada, le rôle du Partenariat pour un gouvernement ouvert, le processus d’élaboration du Plan d’action national pour un gouvernement ouvert
• La deuxième partie vous donnera l’occasion de partager vos réflexions et vos idées sur les quatre domaines et de donner votre avis sur les actions proposées par le gouvernement du Canada pour y répondre.
