Turn up, tune in, and connect! Every Other Wednesday. (Might move to every Wednesday if time slots continue to fill up and demand increases.)

The purpose of the event is to help dj's get in front of an audience and express themselves creatively, learn, and connect with other DJ's. No restrictions on genre, type of music, just scroll down and see the music description paragraph.

TURBO Coffee & Cocktails invites DJs of all levels to take the stage, share their sound, and be part of a supportive, social DJ community. Share Music, Improve skills, kick it and meet other DJ’s.

Open Deck DJ Rewards:

• 30-minute set = 1 ticket (redeemable for select menu items)
• 1-hour set = 2 tickets (redeemable for select menu items)
• The restaurant owner is an aspiring DJ himself and recognizes the value DJ’s bring by setting the energy of the room unlike other venues or pochas who pay you in exposure. At TURBO - DJ’s will be rewarded on open deck nights to participate, you will also be subtly auditioning for paid gigs that we do twice per month that have a competitive hourly rate. You also have the opportunity to connect with other DJ’s on references for other paid gigs and collabs. I’d recommend DJ’s take 1 hour sets unless asked to do a shorter set to make room. Play a set, hangout, connect, earn a meal and drink.

Whether you’re spinning your first set or your hundredth, TURBO’s Open Deck DJ Night is about sharing music, supporting each other, and having a great time. Bring your crew, grab a drink, and join the community!

Info DJ’s should know:

We provide the equipment from the professional sound system and the DJ controller. It’s an FLX10 Rekordbox or Serato Compatible attached to a Surface Pro making it look like an all in one. (See photo) If you want to bring your own controller you can as long as it has the XLR slots to hookup to our restaurant.

Upon arrival DJ’s check in with the open deck host to confirm your slot, claim your tickets to redeem for drinks or food, hangout and connect til your time slot comes up!

DJ’s should bring:

• Headphones, we also have headphones if needed.
• Laptop or Rekordbox USB Drive.
• You can plug right into the Surface Pro, we have the USB C adapter.

Music: No excessive use of profanity, such as I dont fuck with you, Big Sean or other similar aggressive curse word songs. Avoid excessive use of the N word in songs such as Ninja by young thug. It is Open format, Open genre. Please note though that it is a family friendly crowd up until past 9pm, as a dj read the room, I’d recommend not dropping 180bpm rap edm song with banger drops at 6pm while people are studying. xD Do you make and produce your own music? Feel free to showcase it.
