About this Event

Join us in celebrating the opening of Ngarra Ngurang / Place of Learning, the new Aboriginal Garden at Hawkesbury Regional Museum, at 1pm.

Experience a moving Welcome to Country by Rhiannon and Lyra Wright, hear stories and insights from Dharug community members, and discover the cultural significance of local edible and endemic plants.

This family-friendly afternoon includes hands-on activities and light refreshments, everyone is welcome.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

  • You acknowledge, accept and understand that your participation in the guided walk is at your own risk. You acknowledge, accept and understand that Council shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, harm, cost or expense that you may incur or suffer arising out of your participation in the guided walk, other than for matters of which Council cannot legally exclude.
  • Do not attend if you have any flu-like symptoms
  • SMILE! Museum events may be photographed and images used for promotional purposes on Council's websites, publications, social media or by newspapers. If you do not wish your image (or the image of your child) to be published, please notify staff before the event.
  • If you are unable to attend please cancel your tickets as soon as possible. This will enable others to participate in the program.
  • Paid tickets are not transferable.
  • To receive a full refund for a paid ticket (minus an admin fee of 10% of session cost), please cancel your ticket or notify the museum before 48 hours of the scheduled event. If less notice is given, a refund will not be issued.
  • Refunds will not be given if participants change their mind, or simply forget to attend the event. For exceptional circumstances, refunds may be issued at the discretion of the Museum Director.
  • A refund can take up to 7 working days to process after the event date (due to bank transfer times). Cash payment refunds can take up to 6 weeks to process.
