We are happy to share, that Myllyteatteri and Vuotalo will be organising different art workshops for foreign-born artists in May and June.
The workshops are aimed at artists who have moved to Finland from abroad. Also local born artists are welcome. Artists with background in any field of art are welcome (dance, theatre, literature, music, visual arts etc.).
The workshops are free of charge. They offer the opportunity to meet other artists and network at the same time. Depending on your schedule, you can participate several times or just once.

COMIC ART

In the workshop we make small exercises together about comic scripts and ideas for a comic story.
You don’t need to have any experience in drawing or comics. Workshops are open to adults. We are offering all the tools so you can just bring yourself.

THEATRE
Wed 3.6. 16:30-18:30
Yuko Takeda will lead a theatre workshop exploring collective storytelling through imagination, body, voice, and presence. No prior theatre experience is required – the most important things are curiosity and a willingness to dive in. Storytelling is fun, liberating, and offers new perspectives on both self-expression and working together.
After the workshop you are warmly welcome to come and see Myllyteatteri’s and Helsinki 98’s performance “Huolto 4:18”. It takes place at Vuosaaren Tilajakamo near the workshop space and starts at 19.00. Workshop particispants will be offered a reduced ticket price.
