About this Event
In April, the Berkeley Art Center will launch the Open Center, expanding how we use our space beyond traditional gallery exhibitions. The Open Center will serve as a hub where ideas, artists, and community intersect, offering opportunities for interdisciplinary, intercultural, and inter-philosophical dialogue, reflection, and activation.
OPEN CENTER: Artists' Right Workshop by USF Law:
Join the USF CREATE Law Clinic and Berkeley Art Center for a free workshop on artists’ rights. This session will cover the basics of copyright, ownership, licensing, and what the rise of AI means for your creative work. Designed for artists, musicians, and creatives of all kinds, this workshop will help you better understand how to protect your work and navigate the legal side of being an artist. After the presentation, there will be time for networking and an optional one-on-one info session with a legal professional.
Whether you're just getting started or already releasing work, this is a valuable opportunity to learn and ask questions.
Free workshop on copyright, ownership, licensing & AI for artists. Hosted by USF CREATE Law Clinic at Berkeley Art Center.
