Following the success of last year’s inaugural Pride Open Exhibition, we are delighted to be returning this year with This Space Belongs to You, an open exhibition at PrimeYarc to coincide with Great Yarmouth & Waveney Pride 2026.
Throughout June and up until midnight on Sunday 12 July, we are inviting submissions.
The exhibition will celebrate LGBTQ+ creativity, visibility, expression and belonging — and is open to contributions in all forms, including:
Drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, mixed media, digital work, fashion, film, creative writing, spoken word, performance — and anything else we can realistically present.
Submissions are open to all, and are especially encouraged from LGBTQ+ artists living or working in Great Yarmouth and Waveney, as well as people who have never exhibited before.
You do not need to be a professional artist. You do not need to have shown work before. This is a space for expression, experimentation, pride, care, resistance, joy, community and being seen.
📍 Exhibition venue: PrimeYarc, Market Gates Shopping Centre, Great Yarmouth
📅 Exhibition dates: Saturday 8 August – Sunday 6 September 2026
🕛 Opening times: Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, 12–4pm
⏰ Submission deadline: Midnight on Sunday 12 July 2026
✅ Applicants notified by: Sunday 19 July 2026
🎉 Opening event: Saturday 8 August
🌈 Great Yarmouth & Waveney Pride: Saturday 29 August
Accepted artworks should be delivered to PrimeYarc on:
Friday 31 July, 12–4pm
or
Saturday 1 August, 12–4pm
Other delivery arrangements may be possible by appointment — please let us know in your submission comments if needed.
The exhibition will be presented as family-friendly, so please make sure submissions are suitable for a public, all-ages setting.
Dates for spoken word and live performance contributions will be arranged with successful applicants.
