Avon Players theatre of Rochester and Shelby Michigan announce open auditions for Mel Brooks brilliant musical comedy YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN.Adult and late teen actor/singers are encouraged to attend and show off what you can do. All are welcome...no experience necessary to give it a shot!

Synopsis:
Grandson of the infamous Victor Frankenstein, Frederick Frankenstein (pronounced “Frank-en-steen”) inherits his family’s estate in Transylvania. With the help of a hunchbacked sidekick, Igor (pronounced “Eye-gore”), and a leggy lab assistant, Inga (pronounced normally), Frederick reluctantly finds himself in the mad scientist shoes of his ancestor. “It’s alive!” he exclaims as he brings to life a creature to rival his grandfather’s. Eventually, of course, the monster escapes and hilarity abounds. From the mind of Mel Brooks, based on his classic comedy film, Young Frankenstein is an electrifying musical comedy parody full of sublime slapstick, wicked wordplay, and madcap musical numbers.
