What we are looking for:
Waldo Supper Club & C.A.S.T. Ballroom Murder Mystery Actors
- Waldo Supper Club murder mystery dinner shows include cabaret performances and in-character interactions with audiences. Songs, routines, and some character interactions are rehearsed in advance, but audience interactions are improvised. The Waldo Supper Club is a historic venue and the shows are generally set in 20th century periods, such as a 1930s speakeasy or a 1940s USO show. Friday nights at 6pm (call time 5pm). Preferred skills: Singing, acting, improvisation.
- C.A.S.T. Ballroom murder mystery shows do not require singing or dancing. These are more fantasy-based and whimsical, with scripted moments and unscripted audience interactions. These shows are ideal for anyone wanting to gain acting experience in a live setting with improv elements. Saturday nights at 7pm (call time 6pm).
Cafe Cabaret Performers (KCMO Crossroads)
- Cabaret performance opportunities at our newest location in the Crossroads (formerly Cafe Gratitude) are available! We are looking for singers, musicians, and comedians to entertain our weekend show audiences. Auditioning musicians must bring their own instruments to auditions, except for piano (one will be available at the venue). We are looking for performers/musicians experienced in the following genres: jazz, blues/r&b, musical theater.
- Shows at the Cafe will be Thursdays at 7pm, Fridays at 7 & 9pm, and Saturdays at 7 & 9pm (call time 1hr before the show). We will have pop-up events leading up to the grand opening this fall.
Additional Performance Opportunities
- We are constantly expanding our schedule of performances! If you have a talent or skill that you would like to perform in a live setting, come audition and we will consider incorporating or showcasing it at one of our three venues!
All performances are paid.
Please bring a headshot & resume if you have one. If you are auditioning to be a singer/musician, please prepare a song to audition with. If you are auditioning to be a comedian or other skill (dancing, flow arts, acrobatics, magic, mime, circus skills, etc), please prepare a 2-5 minute routine. If you are auditioning for the Murder Mystery shows, we will provide audition sides that you will be able to look over and act in a short scene with an existing member of our team.
