Join field trip leader, Kathy McCoy, accompanied by Bob Boekelheide, for this remarkable spot to explore and reflect on how the river’s restoration is transforming the delta. The access trail meanders past a pond and shrubby riparian habitat so there may be a few residual migrants here as well as water birds. The focus will be on the gulls. The trail is very flat and firm for the first half‑mile or so before transitioning to soft sand. Bring binoculars and wet/cold weather gear. If you have a scope, please bring it. Registration required. Learn more details at https://olympicpeninsulaaudubon.org/events-calendar/opas-field-trip-mouth-of-the-elwha-river-bird-walk-2.
