OPAL Showcase: Sebright Primary, Hackney, London

Join us and be inspired by observing one of the best school playtimes in the country. Here, kids get muddy, build dens, take risks, explore, experiment, and achieve every single day!

The OPAL Primary Programme supports schools in developing key areas related to policy, planning, risk management, staffing, design, grounds development, resources, and playwork training.

Times are subject to alterations of up to 30 minutes. In the week before the event, attendees will receive an email confirming times.

Sebright Primary School in Hackney achieved their OPAL platinum award in May 2024. They are a two-form inner city primary school with a very large playground, no field but still a good sized garden. A large Victorian building, and several large play structures, sand pits and lots of loose parts makes this an interesting site to see. Nearly a third of the children have SEND, and 44% receive pupil premium.

There are easy transport links and good cycle parking, but no free parking nearby. If you have any mobility issues, please get in touch with us.

We will have tea and coffee available.
