In this delightful, laugh-a-minute comedy, four unique Southern women, all needing to escape the monotony of their day-to-day routines, are drawn together by Fate – and an impromptu happy hour – and decide it’s high time to reclaim their enthusiasm for life. The Savannah Sipping Society feels like a light, humorous sitcom set on stage, reminiscent of "The Golden Girls." This similarity is no coincidence. The play was written by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, and Jamie Wooten (known collectively as Jones Hope Wooten), a trio of former sitcom writers who have created numerous stage plays, movies, and television shows together.
