✨ Onegin’s charm, Tatiana’s passion, Hermann’s obsession, Liza’s despair, Iolanta’s innocence, the radiant Snow Maiden, the tragic Lubasha…Russian opera is filled with characters who love fiercely and suffer deeply.
On stage: ex-Mariinsky soloists Efim Zavalny (baritone) and Rebekka Magomedova (piano), joined by singers from the UK, Royal College students, rising talents and established performers — all together in one evening.
Excerpts from operas by Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov and oth. Every piece introduced with wit and warmth by Efim Zavalny.
Featuring: sopranos Nevena Goranova (Serbia), Diana Orlanova (Russia/Germany), Antonida Kocharova (Russia/UK), Kasya Bryl (Poland), Daria Moskaliuk (Ukraine); mezzo-soprano Emma Roberts (UK); tenor Grigore Rîciu (Moldova), baritone George Kaye (UK); bass David Banbury (UK), pianist Ishan Bhadra (India).
