This day long workshop is designed for lovers of ceramics, food and making.
Make your own Japanese inspired dining set including a tasty home made lunch of rice, miso soup, pickles and other tasty treats.
We will make a 4 piece dining set based upon Japanese table ceramics including a bowl, two dishes and cup in celebration of food. Each of these items will introduce you to a fundamental hand building technique used across millennia to make ceramics.
Taking inspiration from Japanese dining sets, each piece will be made for a specific dish in mind, and sit together to elevate the everyday experience of our daily meals.
At the end you will have made a unique set of tableware that will be twice fired into ceramics and carry the special character and warmth of hand made work.
