35 people, 35 voices, one white backdrop in the middle of the city.

During Berlin Fashion Week in summer 2025, the street became a studio and everyday life a stage. In front of a freely floating white backdrop, 35 portraits took shape: 35 people from inside and beyond the industry, each with their own statement about what needs to be said, what is too often overlooked, or what is missing. At its core the series sits in between studio and street photography: staged yet spontaneous, controlled yet unguarded – a mirror of the very industry it portrays. The floating white backdrop strips away every superfluous element and gives each person and their words an uncompromising presence. Aesthetics meet honesty, the invisible is made visible.

Behind the series, director and artist Claudia Malecka and communications specialist Florian Müller, founder of Mental Health in Fashion.

Among those portrayed are Diane Pernet, Sara Sozzani Maino, Alfons Kaiser, Julian Zigerli and Robert Owens – a cross-section that brings together the many different realities of the fashion system.

The project has been featured in publications such as NSS Magazine and Artribune Magazine.
