Show your support for a cleaner, more vibrant, and healthier Breton Bay by joining us on September 12th!
Saturday, September 12, 2025, at 10 am, join the St. Mary’s River Watershed Association and Friends of St. Clements Bay at Abell’s Wharf to plant a million baby oysters in the Breton Bay Oyster Sanctuary. Bring your friends and join the fun!

Volunteers are required to wear closed-toed shoes and a life jacket. We will have gloves and extra life jackets, but bring your own if you can.
We will unload 200 bushels of spat-on-shell (baby oysters attached to shell) from trailers, load them onto work vessels, and transport the oysters by boat to their new home at Lover’s Point.
If you want to go the extra mile, meet us at St. Mary’s College of Maryland at 8 am to load the bags onto trailers.
