Ready to realize your dreams? Join us for the One City, One Book Bucket List Challenge. This is a modified version of the Do the Thing/ Modern Prairie Bucket List Challenge. We're kicking things off in person with best-selling author Laura Carney, who completed her late father’s bucket list and knows firsthand the power of saying yes to life, and dynamic Do the Thing founder and podcaster Stacey Lauren. They will be joined by the author of "Happy Iceland", Anne Marie Wells.
This isn’t another vision board session. It is about real change. Whether your goals involve travel, creativity, wellness, personal growth, or anything else—the sky’s the limit—you will be part of a supportive group of community members. We will keep each other accountable and celebrate every win along the way.
After the live event, the journey continues on the Greensboro Public Library’s Facebook Page with two weeks of curated prompts and challenges that will get you thinking, moving, and maybe even booking that trip or launching that dream project you have been putting off. You will receive guided activities, daily motivation, and exclusive content—all designed to fit into your busy schedule and help you define what matters most to you. Expect real stories, big inspiration, and a community ready to support one another.
We will wrap it all up with a closing event with Laura Carney on Wednesday, Oct. 22 at Central Library, where participants can share their progress, insights, and plan bold next steps. There might even be some surprises (hint: giveaways and shout-outs!). So bring your dreams, your courage, and your calendar. It is time to say YES to your life, and this is the moment to start.
