Featuring a Q&A with screenwriter/producer/star Lisa Brenner in person
$11 Members | $18 Public
On her 40th birthday, Rachel Torres's (Lisa Brenner) biggest concern, besides her pending mid-life crisis, is facing her fear of public speaking at her daughter’s upcoming Bat Mitzvah. But when a DNA test reveals that she’s only half-Jewish and her beloved father is not her biological father, her world is turned upside down. Amidst family chaos and the discovery of new siblings of every ethnicity, Rachel and her mother (screen legend Linda Lavin) journey to find her “real” father, leading them to a shady PI, an inept gynecologist, and an ex-con tattoo artist half-brother. Along the way, Rachel rediscovers her true identity as loving mother, an unemployed but passionate actress, and above all, her mother’s daughter. (USA, 2025, 82 mins, NR, English | Dir. Matt Sohn)
