Once Upon a Deadline is a fun and imaginative musical theatre production that brings fairytales into the modern world.
In this creative story, classic fairytale characters suddenly find themselves struggling to stay relevant in a fast-paced, digital society where no one seems to read their stories anymore. As phones, influencers, and trends take over, the characters begin to worry that their magic is being forgotten.
Determined not to disappear, the fairytale world attempts to reinvent itself, leading to a series of humorous, heartfelt, and chaotic moments as they try to adapt to modern life. Along the way, they explore identity, popularity, and what it truly means to be seen and heard in today’s world.
Through energetic musical numbers, character-driven scenes, and a playful storyline, the show highlights both the charm of traditional storytelling and the pressures of modern culture.
This production is full of personality, humour, and heart, showcasing the creativity and talent of our EastHall Performing Arts Academy students.
