What is this?
It's a live dating show and a social mixer, this time with a fun twist! This month, we've teamed up with San Diego Chess & Social to bring a game-filled spin to our usual mixer. It's live entertainment meets intentional dating, plus chess, backgammon, Uno, and more!

On The Spot Dating Show is part dating event, part social experiment and it always ends in same-night date nights where ghosting isn’t an option and spontaneity is rewarded.
San Diego singles are put on the spot and chemistry is put to the test, all in front of a live audience where matches are made in real time - "Love is Blind" style. One Chooser will lead a playful & intentional Q&A, asking three mystery contestants questions and then deciding which contestant they want to take out on a date that night (all without seeing them face-to-face)
After the show? Thanks to our friends at San Diego Chess & Social, the floor opens up for a game-night style mixer! Think chess, backgammon, cards, and more. It's a different (and honestly more fun) way to break the ice than just standing around with a drink in your hand.
Whether you’re in the hot seat or cheering from the crowd, it’s the perfect chance to connect, vibe, and maybe even spark something real.

Here’s how it works:
💘 Game Show: 2 rounds of game play in front of a audience. Each round, Choosers & Mystery Contestants, separated by a partition, are matched live on stage. Each match goes out on a date THAT NIGHT —no ghosting, no flaking, just instant opportunity for connection. The dates are sponsored by local partnering businesses, so that matches don't have to spend their own money on the date.
♟️ Social Mixer, presented by SD Chess & Social: After the show, the floor opens up to everyone. Grab a seat at a chess board, jump into a round of backgammon, or pull up a chair for a game of Uno. No small talk, just an easy way to connect over a game. Singles, non-singles, whoever you brought, everyone's welcome to play!!
