On The Rye Festival

On The Rye comes from within the community, created to provide a space where Peckham’s vibrant culture can connect and be celebrated. As we move into our second year, we are continuing to honour the past while bringing it to the forefront, celebrating Peckham’s history and community.

We’ll have live performances from the Queen of Lovers Rock, Carroll Thompson and the dazzling Buena Vista Live, performing a revue of Buena Vista Social Club. There will be dance performances from The Movement Factory and the Reggae Choir will bring their incredible voices to the stage.

G Smallz & 2Ton are back by popular demand, alongside DJ sets from South London’s Marcia Carr, the Handson Family and DJ Donut.

We’re pleased to announce a new stage - The Settlement - an all-day-long history in roots and reggae from Rebel Clash & Friends.

BORN N BREAD presents Toasty Tots for our mini ravers again, featuring bouncy castles, bubble machines and inflatables in the Mini Laserdrome.

Prince of Peckham 'Mini Royals' will takeover over the Bouncing Ball with DJs, activities, and a special karaoke competition.

Over 15,000 of the community showed up in our first year, something really special. This year, we’ve expanded the site and tripled the number of food traders.

You can also expect:

• the finest street food, cocktails and juices from the heart of Peckham
• arts and crafts, face painting, and steel drums
• community market with local traders
