From April 2025, Milton Keynes Arts Centre’s programme goes on the road and we are inviting parishes in Milton Keynes to host a series of three 90-minute artist-led creative activities! Next stop: New Bradwell Parish.
Calling all residents within New Bradwell Parish!
During lockdown, the artist Sveta Sangani taught herself string art – an artform first used in the nineteenth century to make mathematical ideas more accessible to children and popularised as a craft form in the 1960s. Her work explores the intersection of precision and play, of colour and geometry, often drawing inspiration from nature, mandalas, and modern design. In this session, participants will learn how to create a mandala (a circular design traditionally used as an aid to meditation and spiritual guidance) from string using pre-nailed boards.
**Please Note, this session is for residents of Shenley Church End Parish only, including Bradwell Common, Heelands, and Rooksley, along with Bradwell Village and Bradwell Abbey.
