A double-header of short plays from James Morris, Gil Weissman and Ian Cardamone
About this Event

On Sunset and Nowhere is a one-act play by James Morris & Gil Weissman set at a late-night taco stand in Los Angeles, where a desperate, strung-out man (Benny) wakes up with no idea where he is, no phone, and an urgent need to make one call.

The stand is run by Angela, a young woman, who puts on a Mexican accent to make her white patrons feel more “authentic”.

After buying out the stand with a suspicious amount of cash, Benny ends up drawing an eccentric crowd into his orbit: Clara and Damien, a glamorous couple unraveling after a disastrous night out, and Ethan, a high-schooler sneaking out of the house with a backpack full of alcohol.

As the night stretches on, the taco stand becomes a temporary refuge for people who are all trying, in different ways, and with or without knowing, to escape where they came from.

Over tacos, dead phones, bad decisions, and a dance, these lost Angelenos briefly become a kind of accidental family.

Army of God is a one-act play written by Ian Cardamone.

It follows a wealthy couple that is visited at home by an unorthodox missionary.

Do you want to know the Truth?

There is an Army of God.

An Army sent down from Heaven Above, here to enact the Lord's Will on all those who wish not only to be saved but to be healed.

Come Inside.
