Rayner’s Back on the Farm offers a black-and-white photographic exploration of the lives of young farmers in North Devon, capturing the essence of their dedication and the challenges they face. In parallel, May and MacMillan's The Farmer’s Wife project provides a powerful narrative on the often-overlooked experiences of women in agriculture, addressing themes of succession, gender inequality, and isolation through interviews and evocative photography.

Together, these projects open a window into the realities of the agricultural community, sparking a broader discussion about identity, resilience, and the evolving roles within farming. This evening promises to be a thought-provoking dialogue on the intersection of art and rural life, offering new perspectives on the farming way of life.
