Ramsey Choral Society are feeling festive & our rehearsals are going well for our December concert “On Christmas Night” by Bob Chilcott. A musical celebration of the Christmas story, presented as a sequence of eight carols. We're very pleased that the choir from Ramsey Junior School, who sang so wonderfully last year, will be joining us along with their Music Teacher Ben Parnell. There'll be the usual traditional Christmas favourites, alongside carols that are new to some of us & may also be new to you, & of course we’d love you to join us in singing some of these. Also listen out for a piece by Cecilia McDowall, one of the leading choral & vocal composers of her generation, called “A Heavenly Song”, which is a beautiful medieval Christmas carol. We'll be led by our Musical Director Simon Berridge & accompanied by Lizzie Peacock, & we look forward to welcoming you to one of our favourite times of the year for singing.
Our concert is at Thomas à Becket Church in Ramsey, Saturday 7th December at 7pm. Tickets are £12.00, 16’s & under are free. For tickets, please call 01487 710792 or visit Sue Ryder Ramsey.
